Mit der Veröffentlichung seiner neuen Single „Berlin 1“ kündigt Oscar Jerome auch sein neues Album „The Spoon“ an, das am 23. September erscheinen wird. Es kommt damit rund zwei Jahre nach seiner Debüt-LP „Breathe Deep“.

Über „Berlin 1“ sagt Jerome: „I wrote this single while in Berlin in September. I decided to move there for a few months to get some space from the London hustle. This track is about seeing your self image through the eyes of someone you love and relying on that reflection rather than knowing and being comfortable in who you are. The development of the song from sensitive and emotional to downright insanity follows the inevitable path you will lead yourself down if you take no time to know yourself.“
